Black pour with a 1 finger, soapy to creamy tan head that has good retention. Aroma is full of roast and nutty notes, some chocolate, dark coffee, burnt sugar, licorice and light, but sharp dark fruit notes. Flavor is slightly sweet caramel and chocolate up front, reminds me of a Riesenís candy, actually, then a little char, nutty notes, coffee, a little toffee, light leather and mineral notes and some light fruity and pine notes to the finish. Medium body with a creamy feel throughout and a light to moderate carbonation with a fairly soft feel. Very good stuff overall, the flavor profile is dead on, I could drink a ton of this stuff, unfortunately the price and alcohol content means I wonít.

Bottle. Oily brown black with red highlights and a bit of camel colored head. Aroma is rich and roasty with smooth tones and coffee. Taste is more coffee and cocoa than anything else, and thereís a small hop bite to it as well. The alcohol is hidden well.

Bottle share from Ron. Thanks Ron! Appearance is dark, clear, orange highlights, thin head. Coffee and chocolate nose and similar taste. Nice gritty palate, decent body. Hangs together well very drinkable.

A little light, as stouts go, but pretty good. It pours very deep brown with average head. The aroma is coffee and plenty of hops. Iíve noticed that "American" on a beer label just means that itís hopped all to hell. Iím fine with that. This thing still has some malt character in the flavor, though, and some chocolate. Itís a decent little beer.

Not much of an aroma. Pours with nice head and lacing into a shifter. Flavor is nice but watery. A little smoky with some espresso.
