Very nicely executed brew from Left Coast! Poured from gifted bomber courtesy craftbeerconnect. The best descriptor is smooth! VooDoo is a fantastic malty treat, with just enough dark chocolate and coffee to add a bitter edge. You folks at Left Coast nailed this one.

Bomber bottle poured a black hue w/ a small tan fully diminishing head and minimal lacing. Moderate roasty aroma. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a moderate bitter finish. Tastes are dark roasted malts, coffee, cherry, dark chocolate, and hay. Full bodied, watery mouthfeel, and soft carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Single big bottle from Albertsons in Vegas. Pours a dark brown colour with a creamy beige head, creating creamy sticky lacing, after disappearing slowly. Cacao aromas with vanilla notes, Mild roasted malts and lots of hops for the style. Smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Again, quite hoppy for the taste over the chocolate malt, finishing with good bitterness. This American Stout is quite a treat with all the strong spots for this style, plus hops. Just a little too expensive as similar products had this week, were half the price.

Bomber poured deep molasses dark. Very low carbonation, tan but almost non existent head, light lacing. Smells of sweet chocolate, roast coffee and vanilla. Taste is sweet on the start with chocolate, roast maltiness, vanilka and a coffee bitter end. Creamy mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pretty much black with a one-finger head that left nice lacing down the glass. Roasted malts and bread dominate the smell. Coffee, though not as strong in the smell, was clear in the taste, which also included some chocolate and dark fruit. All of which is well balanced by a surprising amount of hops bitterness. Medium bodied with more carbonation than expected, smooth like a good porter.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
*12 oz. bottle* Look: Black body, small mocha head. Smell: German chocolate cake, roasted malts hints of coffee bean, smells rich. Taste: Bitter chocolate, burnt malts, cherry pit, espresso, pine bitterness finishes. Feel: Medium smooth body, tight carbonation. Overall: This is pretty solid. Very decent stout. Not very complex yet still enjoyable. The aroma is superior to the flavor (IMO). This isn’t offensive in any way. For it being 8.5%, this drinks like more like a 6% beer. Slightly above the middle of the road stouts. This brew is worthy.
