3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Gypsy19 (728) - USA - JAN 11, 2010
Bomber. Pours a hazy orange with a medium sized white head. Aroma is of citrus fruits and light spices. Simple but nice. Wow!: The flavor is a lot more robust thatn expected. Very sweet and very fruity flavor. Sweet plums and peaches, then bitter hops at the end. There must be a shitload of sugar in this - but it’s good though - huge fruit-bomb for sure. Reminds me of a fruity wine in some ways. I thought this was just going to be an American tripel, but it’s different than that. Medium viscosity, good carbonation. Strange, different. Hell, I dig it. Overall, very good.

Aroma is sweet, bready, and oh yeah.. sweet. Starts out tasting like a sweet triple, but then it smacks you in the face with bittersweet fruits that fade to a surprisingly dry, and slightly hoppy finish. Very unique beer. Exactly what I expected from Left Coast.

Bottle… Tally Tasting ‘10… Clear yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is an unusual merger of new carpet and fuzzy fruits. Full-bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and subdued carbonation. The flavor is painfully sweet, tart and a touch spicy. Finishes tangy, lightly bitter and fruity. Bottle courtesy of fata2683!

22oz bottle from Whole Foods Hill Crest. Cloudy golden yellow with a one finger thick white head, some spotty lacing. Sweet citrus fruits with a faint Belgian yeast quality. A little sweeter on the palate then I was expecting, almost cloying, still pretty tasty.
