Tap at Freshcraft. Clear very dark brown with some ruby highlights. Thin persistent light tan head. Smell is all over the place, in a good way. Raisins, cherries, chocolate, oak, espresso, slightly burnt toffee, more chocolate, vanilla booziness. Taste is roasty sweet with a dark fruity tone, like cherry, raisin, with dark toffee, lots of cocoa, a touch of oak, light vanilla, some toasted caramel, more boozy dark toffee, and dark fruit tones with a touch of espresso. Wonderful, a sipper for sure but fun and delicious to drink.

On tap at Dexters. Just fantastic, not sure what else to say but I want more.

Draft at Brewvival 2012. Pours a clear dark reddish amber with a medium frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, coffee. The taste is caramel, roasted malts, berries, nuts, anise, herbal notes and vanilla. Medium bodied. Nice.

Draught at Lexington Beer Works. Bourbon and oak. Slight milk stout taste. Not a lot of carbonation at first. Really well done.

Solid, although too boozy and simple to be very good. Notes of cocoa but mostly dominated by oak/booze/whiskey. Moderate carbonation, a weird mouthfeel. One of the best beers I’ve had from them.

On draught at O’Niell’s Left Hand Beer Dinner. Opaque dark brown color with slight tan head Big chocolate aroma. Medium body, avedage mouthfeel. Begins with chocolate flavors, even dry/sweet character. Oaky flavor grows into finish. Vreat complementary flavors. Slightly dry finish. Not as full a mouthfeel as the Nitro Milk Stout. Late slight al ohol warminv, but not as much as Wake Up Dead Russian Imperial Stout. Nice
