3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
You’d better love coffee if you’re going to drink this because at is all you are going to taste - at first, I was all about this, but as the beer warmed, some of the undesirably characteristics of the coffee became too strong, such as the acidity and deep roast, that eventually started to taste like char - there is no nuance to how the coffee is used here, so while I still sort of like it, it is ultimately a weak attempt.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ Falling Rock. Fairly dark brown/black appearance with a tan head. Bitter coffee grounds, dark malty aroma. Bitter, roasty, coffee ground flavor on a dark malty body. Bitter coffee finish. I really dislike the texture of the coffee grounds and the fact that they so dominate the flavor.

draft at falling rock. Pours black with nice creamy brown head. Aroma is pure coffee, freshly ground coffee beans, bold, robust, and good smelling. Flavor is all roast and coffee but not in a bitter sense, with a chocolate sweetness. Very smooth, creamy, silky body. Really quite nice.
