Tap at Meddlesome Moth, Dallas Tx, a thin coffee porter which has loads of coffee nose, minimal head, and surprisingly watery body, almost like there was too much coffee, then again no vegetals that I found which make it quite tasty.

Deep brown/black color with tan lacing and head. Fairly bold aroma of coffee and wood (tree bark). Big body, certainly for a porter, but not so big that stout aspects come through. Lots of coffee on the palate, with one pint being plenty for the evening.

Black with a dark tan head. Aroma is strong black coffee. Flavor is roasted coffee malt with a touch of sweetness. A tad bitter in the finish, but not unpleasantly so. Wife: 4.75

Tap at Rattle, pours blackish brown with one finger head. Nose of roasted coffe beans. Tastes of coffe grinds, cola, malt, and Iím getting chili peppers and bacon. Would almost guessed it was a smoked beer. Anyways tasty.

Black beer. No head. Strong coffee bean aroma. Strong flavor of java. Thin consistency but not watery. Some bitterness. Kind of a boring beer but coffee flavored so how could it suck? Because I dont drink coffee.

Taster on tap at Neonís. Black color. Good thin tan / light brown head. Good, more full lace. Nice, bigger turkish coffee aroma and flavor. Good moderate to heavy roast to it. Awesome big roast coffee flavor, for the 6%, I like this type of coffee. Medium body. Smooth, softer carbonation. Lightly dry in the finish. Great big roasty coffee bitter aftertaste, as far as coffee stouts go.. I much prefer this to Java Lava, this is way more up my alley. Love the long, coffee aftertaste. Great moderate to stronger bitter taste, minimal sweet. Super good flavor. This could be improved upon with maybe a bit more of a chewy, thicker body. An imperial version might be awesome.

Draft to taster. Looks good; cola with thin beige lacing. Smells of dark malt and dark roasted coffee. Tastes like it smells with a touch of chocolate too. Solid on the palate. Not bad.

Growler @ Cumming Growler. Black pour, dark as black coffee! Dark brown foam, thick head. Aroma is complex. Smells of rare coffee beans, chili powder, dark ground chocolate, cold espresso grounds. Taste is all coffee, sharp, bitter, & black. Some sweet malts hidden in there, not sure about hops. Itís all coffee. High cocao chocolate bitterness, lingering black coffee flavors. Hopefully it doesnít keep me up all night! (3734)
