Cola body with a minimal tan head. Aroma is coffee and vanille. Taste is pretty similar: roasted malt, bitter coffee. Sweet but with a pleasant hoppy counterpart
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 rosenbergh (4675) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 17, 2013
355 ml bottle. From bierzwerg.de.
Dark reddish brown colour with a tiny light tan head.
The aroma is roasted malt, milk chocolate, mild coffee (probably some sweeter one, I’m not a coffee expert), vanilla and biscuit sweetness. Rather sweet aroma... The flavour is not that sweet but there’s quite a lot sweet elements there too. Mild hoppy bitterness, coffee bitterness, chocolate (darker than in the aroma), roasted malt (a lot of it) and more coffee... Cold coffee...
The carbonation is quite low. There quite hefty amount of coffee notes all over it and I hate coffee (no, I haven’t ever tasted coffee but still I hate it) but still it’s not disturbing that much... Why? Hmm... Please tell me.
3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 chimpgibbon (33) - edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 13, 2013
Fantastic light porter from LH. When i say light I mean on the palate particularly - it almost skips across the taste buds with a light zesty carbonation despite its non-existant head. Well balanced malt and hop and a light chocolate / marmite / coffee combo. Very good indeed.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a small tan head. Roasty aroma with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and sweet caramel malt. Flavor is roasted malt, sweet caramel, dark chocolate, some coffee and dried fruits. Medium to full body, slightly bitter aftertaste.

12oz bottle. Pours dark brown to black in color with small beige head. Aroma is roasted chocolate malt with a bit of coffee. A bit of sweetness that is quickly overcome by the roasted malt finish. Full bodied with creamy mouthfeel. A good porter.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 EtTuCthulhu (399) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAY 7, 2013
The aroma reminds me of caramel and toasted malts, and the appearance is a clear brown with a small off-white head that dissipates to a ring. The taste is mildly umami, slightly sweet, and a touch bitter; and the mouthfeel combines a medium body, soft carbonation, slick texture, and a slightly bitter finish that is like that of coffee.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 seymour (1099) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Tasted from 12oz brown bottle into a nonic pint glass. Thanks gregwilsonstl. It poured a near opaque dark reddish brown colour with sudsy beige foam, fairly long-lasting with lots of lace. Excellent true-to-style London Porter aromas and flavours: crisp grains, bread, toast, melty brown sugar, strong chocolate malt essence, fruity esters, earthy and flowery Goldings hops. Medium-full body, average carbonation, well-rounded mouthfeel, very bready impression overall. Delicious tart aftertaste. One of my favourite styles and this is a very good one.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ebone1988 (113) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - MAY 6, 2013
Aroma is light, roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla. Appearance is typical, dark brown with a light brown, one finger head. Taste is decent, although it finishes with a suspect sweetness. Roasted malts, some light chocolate. Pretty light. Mouthfeel is also conveying the light flavor, it doesn’t hang around and has average carbonation. Overall, this beer is just ok.
