COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Deep reddish brown with a thin tan head. Roasty malt with coffee and cocoa flavors. Hints of hops in the end. A nice porter overall.

Clear black with a modest light khaki head. Nice nose of chocolaty cereal grains and light coffee tones, with a very light tone of yeasty biscuit. Taste is full on flavor yet not too heavy on the palate, but also with a smoothly sweet long linger. Taste is like the aroma; gentle chocolate, gentle coffee, gentle bitterness that’s almost grassy, but finishes with a biscuity smooth and quiet yeastiness that’s calming and subtle. Clean yet full, delicious and balanced.

Smooth taste malts blend together however nothing sticks out to make this a memorable beer. This beer is forgettable. Weak palate.

Again, a little disappointed. Not much to say about this one but it should be a better beer.

Keg at North Bar Leeds, courtesy of an over-generous and rather drunk female customer - thanks! Pours a thick dark brown, with a small beige head. Malty aroma - with coffee/roastiness. Taste is great porter - a bit tangy with hop spice, chocolate, coffee. Fairly thick mouthfeel. Just great, really. Yummy.

Poured dark brown with a smallish head. Sweet malt aroma with chocolate notes. Solid porter, but somewhat sweet.

12 oz bottle dark brown with tan head. Not much on the aroma or taste, so far this is my lowest rated porter ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
