A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Light lacing. Aroma of treacle, rich chocolate cake and Coca-Cola. Sweet flavour of chocolate, soft plum and brown sugar. Thin body with a watery texture. Quite fizzy. Not bad, but a bit too thin and sweet.

Bottle into English pub glass, clear deep brown color with tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, light coffee and faint fruitiness. Taste adds notes of nuttiness, milk chocolate, espresso, smoke and herbal hop bitterness. Light-medium body, low-moderate carbonation, creamy with earthy roast finish. Nice lighter chocolate-leaning porter, pretty good.

"Solid porter...had the nitro, cask, and co2 versions...all good, nitro the fav. Smooth as hell, pretty to look at. Light on the palate but with a more than adequate malted milk chocolate and roasted malt flavor."

Bottle. Dark brown with tall off-white head. Nice aroma of roasted malts with fruity notes. Thinner body than the typical porter, smooth texture, and medium-high corbonation. Sweet up front followed by roasted malt bitterness and hints of chocolate. Not what I expected and it doesn’t strike me as porter, but not bad overall.
