Commercial Description:
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Dark, solid, chocolate color. Tan head. Beautiful beer. Smells of chocolate. Sweet taste, and super yummy! Thin, but not too thin. Smooth.

Nice beer- pours a dark dark chocolate brown, almost black colour with a full tan top. Pleasent creamy mouthfeel, Nice chocolatey malted flavor Aromas of coffee beans, twix and caramel. Flavors of cocoa and black licorice.

draft @ brewery. Pours nearly opaque, small chocolate head. The aroma is very roasty with definite notes of dark vinuous fruits. Crisp and full of flavor. Smoke, chocolate, the dark vinuous fruits are present in the flavor (anis, plum) Finishes with medium bitterness. Really rich and complex. Sweet and full flavored. Very Nice.

Pours medium, dark brown with a 2 inch thick, fomay, frothy head. Smells like chocolate and medium/dark malts. Flavor is like sweet milk chocolate. Pretty smooth. A delicious desert beer, that doesn’t overpower and won’t disappoint. An exemplary incarnation of the porter style. Stout, full, and within bounds to keep it enjoyable to the last drop. The beer tastes stronger as it draws down, perhaps introducing a bit of alcohol flavor, even though it’s on 5.8%. Full body and finish, perhaps a little on the heavy side, so plan your food accordingly. Really good lacing.

Nice calm aroma of chocolate that is not overwhelming. Flavor is a nice chocolate roasted malt. Finishes a little bitter, but smooth and ready for the next sip of chocolate goodness.

Weak aroma of roasted malt. Dark brown, no head. Weak flavor of chocolate and dates. Decent cocoa finish. Off balance, weak, and uninspiring.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is semi-sweet chocolate and caramel. Medium body. Flavor is hard roasted malt, light coffee, semi-sweet chocolate and plum. Pretty good.
