Commercial Description:
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

( 12oz bottle) black pour, ok lace. Very little nose, but fruity. Creamy, nice and light coffee linger but could be thicker. Drinkable!

Cola brown pour with a tan head. Aroma of sweetness, roasted malt. Taste is same as aroma. You get the sweetness at the end. Little watery. Gets more flavorful as it warms up.

Deep ruby brown pour with a tan head of large bubbles that quickly and quietly escape from sight leaving a thin film behind for prosperity. Dusty and dark aroma with chocolate and roasted coffee beans barely ground. Nice hop bite at first with a smoky hue across the tongue. I like this porter. I like it a lot.

Bottle. Blackish beer with a brown tinge. The aroma is lightly malty, and the flavour is fairly rich and malty with a lightly bitter finish. Overall a reasonable beer.

On tap at the brewery in Longmont on 7/16/09. Pours a dark brown with cream head, good lacing. A very mild nut and coffee aroma. However, it doesn’t come up short on the flavor. Great sweet roasted porter taste with a very smooth and pleasant chocolate finish. One of their best offerings.

Pours a dark chestnut brown color with dark amber edges and a 1 finger frothy beige head that slowly fades into a lasting ring. No lacing to speak of. Weak chocolate malt aroma with a slight toasted malt and nut presence. Light bodied and watered down up front with some oatmeal, smooth chocolate maltiness, toffee and slightly bitter subtle hop presence in the finish.

From 12 oz bottle. Pretty, dark brown-ruby beer with a thin beige head. Not the strongest aroma, but a good presence of chocolate and fruit on the nose. Full body with tastes of chocolate, decaf coffee, and molasses. Just a bit of hop bitterness also. Finishes with a slight, unexpected, but pleasant alcohol burn. Good porter.
