| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 9, 2009 Deep ruby brown pour with a tan head of large bubbles that quickly and quietly escape from sight leaving a thin film behind for prosperity. Dusty and dark aroma with chocolate and roasted coffee beans barely ground. Nice hop bite at first with a smoky hue across the tongue. I like this porter. I like it a lot. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2009 On tap at the brewery in Longmont on 7/16/09. Pours a dark brown with cream head, good lacing. A very mild nut and coffee aroma. However, it doesn’t come up short on the flavor. Great sweet roasted porter taste with a very smooth and pleasant chocolate finish. One of their best offerings. corby112 (783), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Weak chocolate malt aroma with a slight toasted malt and nut presence.
Light bodied and watered down up front with some oatmeal, smooth chocolate maltiness, toffee and slightly bitter subtle hop presence in the finish. brosen561 (22), Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Aug 27, 2009 From 12 oz bottle. Pretty, dark brown-ruby beer with a thin beige head. Not the strongest aroma, but a good presence of chocolate and fruit on the nose. Full body with tastes of chocolate, decaf coffee, and molasses. Just a bit of hop bitterness also. Finishes with a slight, unexpected, but pleasant alcohol burn. Good porter.
