COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Chestnut brown, with an ecru head. Pecans and malt in the aroma. Tastes of chocolate and nuts, like a brownie. Maybe a little alcohol in the flavor, but not enough to be obtrusive. Mellow and flavorful.

Dark brown color. Medium head. Aroma is chocolate malts and sweet. A light bodied porter. Malts are chocolate, coffee and sweet. Hops are piney and spicy. Well balanced. Very choclately. Finish is more coffee than chocolate. Finishes a little light for a porter, but still tasty and very drinkable. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Clear reddish brown. Chocolate coffee aroma. A smooth roasted malt taste with a good mouthfeel to it. Clean finish with a little dry coffee. Easy to drink.

Pours a clear, dark, reddish brown color with a small, off-white head that does not linger. The aroma is malty sweet with some nice roasted malt and coffee hints. Full bodied with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel, the flavor is initially sweet. The finish is lightly sweet with some roasted tones and a hint of chocolate. This is a very nice porter.

Nice dark color, roasted flavor. Not so much the chocolate malt roasted flavor but a rosted flavor indeed. A little better then average Porter.

Nice dark color with a sweetly malted aroma. Good dark roasted flavor. Full mouthfeel with a round texture. Finishes silkily. Very good beer.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2011 Deep amber color with some light let through. Small tan head atop. Smells very malty, robust and nutty. Taste is fairly even, with tones of nuts and honey, and a mild bitterness to compliment. Thought I’ve had a few before this one, it seems my palate is left a little dry. Quite nice.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2003 Dark brown, maybe black in color, Smokey, malty aroma. Roast or smokey flavor dominated my beer. I like that flavor, but I wish I could taste a little more of the a carmel or chocolate type flavor. Oily mouthfeel. Roasted flavor on the finish.
