COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Bottled. Black coloured, brown head. Malts and liquorice in aroma. Initially sweet flavour, which becomes quite bitter towards the end. Quite thin mouthfeel. Not very impressed by this one.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with a long lasting tan head that is fed by a stream of carbonation bubbles. Very nice aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is less distinctive than the aroma with some roasted malt and a bit of chocolate follwed by some hops bitterness. Somewhat bitter and a bit dry at the finish. An ok porter.

Draught in pint glass at Flying Saucer Raleigh. Deep dark brown/black with lasting tan head and lace. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate with some bready yeast. Mild chocolate and roasted flavors with clean dry finish. Medium body with very low carbonation make this a fine, sessionable porter.

12oz bottle at cellar temp from table and vine. After trying the milk stout I have to try them all now. This one was black with a hint of red. The aroma is sweet chocolate and coffee. The espresso and hop flavors balance perfectly. This isn’t as great as the Duck Rabbit Baltic, but it does have the same fruity raspberry and anise flavor that comes from the combination of sweet and bitter elements. Left hand is kickass. It might be time for a trip to colorado for some hiking and brewery tours.
