2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 jercraigs (6477) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 7, 2004
Bottle. Dark ruby brown with little in the way of head. Malty with a bit of roast and scarcest hint of chocolate and a very light watery palate. Dissappointingly weak porter. Mondial 3T (Capflu).
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 4, 2004
Slight mineral nature thriving within lactic roastiness...A portly and velvety mouthfeel gives off a milk chocolate and almond sweetness...A quite drinkable rendition, conducive to merriment...
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 axilla (962) - New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 20, 2004
Aroma of carmel and roasted malts is nice. Looks a little watery. Dark brown body with a tan head that disappears completely and very fast. Tastes a little thicker than it looked. The same smooth but a little subtle, carmel and roasted malt flavors. Kind of leaved my mouth feeling like I just puffed on a nice cigar.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 warrior (213) - Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2004
Nice brown clear color with a full tan head. Some roasted malt aromas but nothing exceptional. Some caramel and bittersweet flavors with a little roasted malt. An ok porter but nothing too exciting.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Hoss (607) - Florida, USA - APR 30, 2004
I would agree that it is more in the English style than US style porter. I felt that it was a little week in mouth feel and flavor was OK but not as good as many others

Pours a rather thin, deep mahogany. Burnt caramel aroma. Bitter chocolate flavor with a good amount of british hops at the finish. Slight creaminess in the mouth. A decent porter I’d say.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Alcoholist (570) - Peoria, Illinois, USA - APR 14, 2004
Pours a mahogany colour with a rapidly dissolving thin tan head. Aroma is caramel and dark chocolate. Flavour is very English thanks to the generous malting and Kent Goldings hops. True to style and quite tasty.
