COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Bottle. Clear dark brown in color with a spare tan head. The only downside is a slight mild cheese aroma mixed with roasted malt. But otherwise this is a nice solid porter.

It had a nice dark brown color with a spare head. It had a nice smooth chocholate taste that was very balanced with a nice finish.

12 oz bottle, via nolankowal. Pours a clear dark brown with a small light brown head that fades to a thin covering quickly. Standard Porter aroma, heavy on the chocolate malt with a nice roasted malt accent. Fairly dry with some coffee as well. Flavor follows aroma in step, chocolate and roast with moderate bitterness, a little burnt astringency, and a dry chalky finish. Medium bodied with a moderate fine bubbled carbonation. A decent Porter, certainly drinkable.

Bottle. Pours black with a nice tan head. Aroma of chocolate, creme, with some mustyness. Typical roasted malt and chocolate flavors. There is an unpleasant flavor in the finish that I can’t figure out. This tastes like something made from an extract homebrew kit. Not very exciting

Pours black with deep crimson along the edges an a small light tan head. The aroma is kind of awkward...both milk chocolate with some light moldy characteristics make the nose a bit uninviting...but nothing to terribly off putting. The flavor is nice, roasty...with flavors of liquorice, caramelized sugar, and coffee with chocolate dominating. Malty, almost a bit clumpy at times over the tounge witha light bittersweet toasty finish. Nice porter despite a few minor flaws.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt. Flavor of chocolate and coffe. Taste is all roasted malt, not very balanced. Malt lovers rejoice!

Light aroma but a great finish. Came from a bottle with the and had a chocolate taste with a little coffee and caramel. Extremely enjoyable, would definately buy this beer again.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2012 Pours dark mahogany with a thin tan head. Aroma of roast coffee, chocolate, and alcohol. Taste is lightly roasty with notes of chocolate, caramal, and toffee. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly oily with lush carbonation. Soft mouthfeel without being watery. A straightforward, perhaps simple porter, but also quite enjoyable.
br> Pours reddish brown with a thin wispy tan head. Notes of chocolate, toasted malt, licorice. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Light aroma, poured a cola like color with a light white head. Nice flavoring of chocolate, licorice, and coffee. Malt finish. A little light on the palate. Solid Porter though.

On tap it came to me too cold and with a light tan decent head. I couldn’t pick up much on the aroma besides the light malt and chocolate. It was a smooth drinking beer with a light initial sweetness and a light to medium bitter finish. As with most porters it got better as it got warmer, very good beer.
