Ungstrup (11702), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 23, 2006 A red-brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, as well as lighter notes of hops and roasted malt. The flavor is dry and quite roasted, as hard roasted malt. An OK beer. Papsoe (11073), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 8, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a clear, orangey brown with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt. Surprisingly light-bodied with notes of roasted malt - hard roasted - and then a typical ashy edge. Dry finish. 220406 omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 2, 2006 Updated: Jan 8, 2007Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Transparently black, small head. Concentrated aroma of licorice and black currant. Dryish with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Crisp and very flavourful with notes of aniseed and plums. Finishes with medium bitterness. I really like the concentration of flavours in such a relatively light beer. yespr (7787), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 26, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is malty, mild chocolate note. Flavour is mild roasted malt. Minor orange note. Otherwise soft chocolate malty. Finish is mellow chocolate malty. Very nice.
