COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Dark black color with a small white head. The nose is full of chocolate, nuts and a sweet aroma from the dark malts. The taste is very smooth with more chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Low carbonation. And a slight bitter finish.

I could be way off the mark with this but my initial reaction was Black Jack gum! Smells just like a fresh pack! Being a porter of course the sweet sugar taste isnít present but licorice, licorice, licorice screams outta the glass!

Thick head. Dark brown, almost black color. Smells wine and bread that is about to be toasted. The mildest non-nitro beer Iíve ever tried. Sweet bread, roast that is there for you in the aftertaste as well. Light bitterness in the finish. Good.†

Deeper clear mahogany, light tan head. Leathery, tobacco, some stronger coffee notes. Some chocolate. Gym shorts. Fairly bitter, strong sweetness. Heavy body, quite oily. Decent amount of acidity. Long aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Way too hoppy for a porter, definitely not "black", smells like water. Horrible beer.

bottle into goblet glass. Deep dark brown with very small head, slight sweetness then you get the roasted malt with a hint of coffee. It is smooth and light and pretty well balanced, overall a nice porter.

Bottle into tall goblet. Very dark brown, minimal head. Typical porter light coffee roast blended with plum nose. Roasty flavor, finishes with refreshing touch of bitter. A solid porter, but nothing terribly special.

Decent Porter. Itís a bit mild, smooth, other stuff. 6.8% alcohol is a good thing.
