Commercial Description:
Our latest offering attempts to address an old saying that has plagued mankind since its inception. Many times we've heard, "more is not always better". Invariably the person on the receiving end of such a statement scowls at the ramifications. Here at Left Hand we realize that life cannot be reduced to or understood in absolute terms. Our latest addition to our lineup attempts to take exception with such broad statements about the human condition. Chainsaw is a connoisseur version of our award-winning Sawtooth Ale, designed to befuddle silly generalizations about life. We hope you enjoy!

A very good beer! Great flavors...a lot of them. I love it when a US brewery gets it right. A truely nice ale

Pretty damn rustic ... very smooth and alcohol is pretty well hidden ..’i’m caca for coocoo puffs’ ... lacing is premium stuff ... caramel, molasses, some dust, ... a good brew but a stretch at $11 ... nothing spectacular, just the same old left hand bullshit...

Murky red brown body. Fruity maltiness, caramel and hops in the nose. Nice. Creamy malty taste with some slightly herbal hoppy bitterness going to the aftertaste. Notes of yoghurt. A good beer.

Bottled. Aroma is caramel malts, mild spicing (mainly cardamom), hops, malts and some mild notes of fruits. Flavour is quite much the same with the focus on hops and cardamom.

Prismatic orange to garnet with a latte froth. Citrus / Creme Brulee nose. Layered taste - slippery alcohol caramel malt to start with a long hop finish. Hop linger urges another sip from this 750 corked beauty.

750ml, bottled 2008. Toasty, sweet malts in the aroma, fruity and sugary, with hints of cake, pineapple and caramel, also some faint orange and pine. Clear deep russet in color, developing a billowy, lasting head of ivory. Flavor is darkly sweet and malty to start, some caramel and toffee, turning hoppier and citric, and increasing in bitterness towards the lasting, fairly well balanced finish. Shows a bit of sweet, dried apricot and raisin character late. Mouthfeel is thick and smooth, body is surprisingly full. Shows some noticeable alcohol at the end as it warms. Enjoyable.

Can’t find anything bad to say about this one. Very malty and slightly warming. Truly an enjoyable beer.
