Commercial Description:
Our latest offering attempts to address an old saying that has plagued mankind since its inception. Many times we've heard, "more is not always better". Invariably the person on the receiving end of such a statement scowls at the ramifications. Here at Left Hand we realize that life cannot be reduced to or understood in absolute terms. Our latest addition to our lineup attempts to take exception with such broad statements about the human condition. Chainsaw is a connoisseur version of our award-winning Sawtooth Ale, designed to befuddle silly generalizations about life. We hope you enjoy!

Thanks retorp for the share. Very enjoyable beer. Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Nose is malt, rose hips, ripe fruit, floral hops, and some alcohol. Flavor is similar with malt, hops (citrus), spice, and apple. Great malty surprise. I would seek this one out next time.

Has a strong, malty aroma with a fruity overtone, mainly apple, so it smells more like fruit juice than beer. Pours a very appetizing translucent cola brown with a very thick, fluffy, light tan head that sticks around for a bit. Flavor is malty with a rather strong alcohol bite and a firm undertone of hops, along with hints of caramel and cinnamon. Texture is very smooth and just a little bit syrupy, leaving a tingly finish that is edgy and hop-bitter but just a tad sweet.

Bottle courtesy of Retorp. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a one finger off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of caramel and sweet malt with citrus and floral hops in the finish. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild to moderate amount of bitternes and smooth alcohol. Good.

The bottle poured deep, resiny amber with tan orange tinted head settling after a couple minutes. I think it sort of smells like dried apricots steeped in brandy sort of winey but very earthy damp and alcoholic. The flavor is incredibly malty toasty bread crust bitterness caramel sweetness and a bit of a metallic acidity. The palate is full bodied slightly syrupy with a lingering finish. It is big and bold for sure. It tastes like the whole bottle should be poured into a huge mug and carried by a viking while pillaging around a bonfire. Oye!
