Commercial Description:
Our latest offering attempts to address an old saying that has plagued mankind since its inception. Many times we've heard, "more is not always better". Invariably the person on the receiving end of such a statement scowls at the ramifications. Here at Left Hand we realize that life cannot be reduced to or understood in absolute terms. Our latest addition to our lineup attempts to take exception with such broad statements about the human condition. Chainsaw is a connoisseur version of our award-winning Sawtooth Ale, designed to befuddle silly generalizations about life. We hope you enjoy!

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, spices, and alcohol, tyme stands out among the spices. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit both fresh and a bit over ripe, combined with medium notes of caramel and alcohol. The latter leaving a slight burn along the sides of the tongue. Thanks to Alex (fiulijn).

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a hazy, amber golden with an off-white head. Fat aroma of caramel and hops. Full-bodied with lots of caramel, overripe fruit and roasted malt - some spiciness too. Hoppy finish yet not overly bitter. We’re really talking Barley Wine borderlands here. 030707

Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear deep amber, brief head. Grapefruity caramel aroma. Medium sweet with clean mouthfeel. Firm and solid maltiness. Concentrated flavour of grapefruity hops and licorice. Some caramelly malt flavour is found underneath. Long salty bitter finish. A solid beer beautifully lacquered with massive amount of hops, but not a whole lot of depth.

RBESG2008: 22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy brown with a slowly collapsing tan head. Light liqourice and woody hops aroma. Flavour is light roasted malt to a breadish base. Holds a nice level of bitternes with a mild fruity note. Ends smooth malty and hoppy dry.
