Commercial Description:
Our latest offering attempts to address an old saying that has plagued mankind since its inception. Many times we've heard, "more is not always better". Invariably the person on the receiving end of such a statement scowls at the ramifications. Here at Left Hand we realize that life cannot be reduced to or understood in absolute terms. Our latest addition to our lineup attempts to take exception with such broad statements about the human condition. Chainsaw is a connoisseur version of our award-winning Sawtooth Ale, designed to befuddle silly generalizations about life. We hope you enjoy!

Pours a dense mahogany honey color w/ full creamy froth. Froth reduces to a thick spattered canopy. Aromas of malt and rock candy. Full nectar w/ mellow residual effers that render a silky mouth feel. Massive caramel malts perform nicely w/ a moderate hop profile balancing it to the finish. Flavors of caramel, maple, cherries, and a slight hard candy essesnce. The candy performs as a modertor between the thick malt and asprin hops balancing this brew into infinity. Finishes w/ sweet asprin. Overall: for as big a brew this is, it’s quite blanced. Highly recommended. Connoisseurs Choice !

My brother-in-law and I split one of these on tap at the brewery, 4/13/06. Wow. Dark red with a nice firm head. Strong bourbon aroma. Very smooth and strong -- but it’s got everything a big beer could ask for. Superb.

Bottle. Pours dark copper with a small beige head and FULL OF SEDIMENT! Any unfilterd beer in my book is worth drinking for that reason alone. This beer gives you all kinds of reasons to drink it. Nice aroma of sweet malted barley and hops. Thick and creamy palate. Flavor starts out malty with a sweet middle and a hop finish. This a realy fine ale!

750 ml. Clear garnet with a two-finger head that quickly settles to a lasting foamy disc. Spots of soapy lace. Nasals of chocolate, caramel, orange, apple, grape and oak. Flavors of caramel, orange, oak, apple and chocolate, with some additional resin and smoky black pepper on the finish. Slightly larger than medium body is lightly carbonated, has a touch of warming and finishes oak-resiny dry.

Big 750 ml bottle. Tanx to Ulric in Gbg. This is complex and made with love. The aroma brings alot. At first it´s very malty and fruity. Also some cola and rubber. Flavor is sweet malty, colamalt, rubber, fruits. Palate is oily and strong. Big. Round. Pleasent. Hope I will drink this again...

Amber color with a light head. Toffee, nutty nose with hints of dough. Slight bitter taste that turns sweet on finish.

Nose of vanilla, flowers, and typical hops spice. The brew pours cloudy woody brown with yeasty beasties. The average off-white head is creamy, mostly lasting and leaves no lace. The brew has a strong bitter presence just the way I like it, with a fruity middle. The full body is dry and soft.
