Commercial Description:
Our latest offering attempts to address an old saying that has plagued mankind since its inception. Many times we've heard, "more is not always better". Invariably the person on the receiving end of such a statement scowls at the ramifications. Here at Left Hand we realize that life cannot be reduced to or understood in absolute terms. Our latest addition to our lineup attempts to take exception with such broad statements about the human condition. Chainsaw is a connoisseur version of our award-winning Sawtooth Ale, designed to befuddle silly generalizations about life. We hope you enjoy!

Such an amazing treat, real malty with a complex sweetness that is balance out by just the right amount of fruity/evergreen hops. Right mood, right mindset, right beer no doubt about it. Dark amber color with a lasting tan head and leggy lacing. Fresh malty aroma with a good sweetness and complimenting hop nose. Biscuits, fruits, and pine o’ plenty. Full bodied, smooth and exceptionally drinkable for such a strong ale. Wonderful sipping treat to kick back with. Flavor mirrors the robust aroma only it’s turned up a notch. Sweet rolls, oranges, nuts, caramel, and very floral.

bomber from total wine. YUM! Hazy brownish color with a light tan head. Aroma is full of great fruit, malt, caramel, honey...the aroma goes on and on. Flavor is full of fruit, caramel, and some hops are very finely woven in this beer. I really enjoyed this. One of my favorite LH’s to date.

Beautiful ruby/brown pour with smallish head. Nice aromas come off the top, chocolatey sweetish fruity touches combine with dusty-almost smoky- woodsy pine scents, topped with baked pineapples. The body is firm but supple and yeilds balanced and diverse flavors which begin with an emerging a forest-ish bitterness and transform into quieter and more rounded juicy roasted malts and fruit flavors. Very well balanced and enjoyed.

Nice nose.Very little head. Heavy on the malt- in fact, a salp in the face right off the top followed by a left hand of hops. Alcohol is very well hidden

Corked bottle
Cloudy amber color; huge creamy head; nice lace. Hop aroma, but also malty and a bit cheesy. Very malty brew, and a lot of caramel; only then the bitterness comes in, strong, but not enough aromatic, resiny nor fruity.

Draft at Capital Ale House Innsbrook. Pours a deep amber, clear, lasting tan head. Aroma is a big shot of hops, floral, earthy, and notes of tropical fruits, yet not grapefruit. Also some caramel sweetness. Flavor is a dead on match to the nose, quite complex and flavorful. A beer you can either sip and contemplate or simply drink. Very enjoyable, pleasant surprise.

Bottle, 9.1%. Good coconut flavour. Quite a lot of alcohol aftertaste, which is good.

(06.05.06) One pint, 9.36 oz green bottle from DiCarlo’s, Mundelein, IL. 9% ABV. Poured hazy brown with small off-white head. Soft carbonation. Clean hoppy aroma. Medium-to-full bodied ale that starts with light malt sweetness and caramel/hoppy flavors. Some mouth sharpness. Hop bitterness starts in the middle. Finished with lingering hop bitterness. A rich, hoppy, and flavorful beer.
