Commercial Description:
Our latest offering attempts to address an old saying that has plagued mankind since its inception. Many times we've heard, "more is not always better". Invariably the person on the receiving end of such a statement scowls at the ramifications. Here at Left Hand we realize that life cannot be reduced to or understood in absolute terms. Our latest addition to our lineup attempts to take exception with such broad statements about the human condition. Chainsaw is a connoisseur version of our award-winning Sawtooth Ale, designed to befuddle silly generalizations about life. We hope you enjoy!

Draft @ the brewery. Poured in hazy orangish gold, with a nice of white head. Aroma was slightly sweet and fruity with some notes of hops and spice. Flavor was mildly fruity up front with a citrusy hop finish. Clean Finishes cleanly slightly bitter due to hops. Medium to medium heavy mouthfeel. A nice beer.

Cloudy amber pour, with a small ring of large bubbles - aroma of tangy grapefruit rind, candied kumquat, zesty hops, some bready malt, rolled oats, cherries - an earthy, british style barleywine character in the aroma and flavor - a little acidic and tangy up front, followed by fruity notes of cherry and raisin - spicy hops later, some caramel malt sweetness and oat flavors - a little bit musty - ands with warm alcohol - like a british barleywine with citrus.

Bomber from Canal’s in Marlton. NJ. Pours a very hazy deep chestnut with reddish highlites and supports a tall dusky tan head. Lots of lacing. Big fruity, malty aroma that commands attention right away. Sweet malt, dark fruits, caramel, milk chocolate, some smoke and toasted nuts all play reasonably well with one another in the flavor arena and a slight hop bitterness tugs at you in the long, mostly sweet finish. I thought the texture was perhaps just a bit too heavy but, overall, this is worth picking up.

Such an amazing treat, real malty with a complex sweetness that is balance out by just the right amount of fruity/evergreen hops. Right mood, right mindset, right beer no doubt about it. Dark amber color with a lasting tan head and leggy lacing. Fresh malty aroma with a good sweetness and complimenting hop nose. Biscuits, fruits, and pine o’ plenty. Full bodied, smooth and exceptionally drinkable for such a strong ale. Wonderful sipping treat to kick back with. Flavor mirrors the robust aroma only it’s turned up a notch. Sweet rolls, oranges, nuts, caramel, and very floral.

bomber from total wine. YUM! Hazy brownish color with a light tan head. Aroma is full of great fruit, malt, caramel, honey...the aroma goes on and on. Flavor is full of fruit, caramel, and some hops are very finely woven in this beer. I really enjoyed this. One of my favorite LH’s to date.
