Nov 21, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a thin off-white head that lasted through the first couple of sips and left very little lace. Mild aroma of malt and a bit of chocolate. The flavor is malty and more flavorful than the aroma suggests, but there is no sign of the chococlate foreshadowed in the aroma. Light bitterness at the finish. Overall, a decent, non-offensive brown ale.

Oct 20, 2008 This beer smells of chocolate and malt, nice color, small amount of head. Overall the beer was full of flavor, yet no distiinct flavors came through.

Oct 19, 2008 12oz bottle from Party Pak Liquors (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a clear dark reddish brown with thin off-white head. Little head retention or lacing. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of raisins, ripe fruit, some chocolate, some spice. Flavor is similar with more prominent chocolate notes, some sweet malt, toffee, caramel and maybe hints of coffee. Generally medium body with a sweet and malty finish.
