Dec 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours a mahogany body with a tan head. Sweet malty with a light nutty malt character, cherry and a light woodiness. Thin body with no real etoh.

Dec 18, 2008 The aroma is OK, its got hops which is not all that common for the style. It is quite metallic, with chocolate, toffee, malt and paper. The flavor is like the aroma but tastes watery and bad. The palate is this. Overall this is a disappointment. I would keep it under deep cover too.

Dec 16, 2008 Bottle. Body is a tawny brown and has just the thinnest film of a head. Aromas are very weak: caramel, brown sugar and nuts. Flavor echoes the nose, caramel and brown sugar are the mainstays, but there is a bit of a date-like fruitiness. That said, it is all bleached out and not full in the least.

Nov 30, 2008 Deep brown color with a thin off white head. Has a nutty aroma and the taste of caramel malt. Relatively smooth, malty and slightly sweet.

Nov 21, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a thin off-white head that lasted through the first couple of sips and left very little lace. Mild aroma of malt and a bit of chocolate. The flavor is malty and more flavorful than the aroma suggests, but there is no sign of the chococlate foreshadowed in the aroma. Light bitterness at the finish. Overall, a decent, non-offensive brown ale.
