donteatpoop (112), Youngstown, Ohio, USA Apr 30, 2008 A very light shade of brown, more amber than brown really. One of the palest brown ales I’ve ever had. A very small 1/2 inche white head formed at the top intially but dissipated quickly away. Virtually no lacing.
It was hard to smell much of anything, slight earthy scent, maybe a little nutty.
The taste was much more pronounced than the scent, very nutty and a caramel malt.
A bit watery in the mouth, goes down like water. It’s been said before, but I’ll reinforce the view, it tastes very similar to Newcastle Brown, save it’s a bit easier to drink and a bit more flavourful.

jah noth (932), Rochester, New York, USA Jun 27, 2008 Fairly fruity aroma with little in the way of caramel. Amber in appearance with a nice white head. Funky fruity yeast combines with slight caramel apples and light toffee. incredibly boring. stankenk (18), Maplewood, Minnesota, USA Jun 22, 2008 Pours brown. The nose has a hint of caramel and nuts. Caramel and nuts seem to be the only thing that stands out. The finish is a little on the dry side. norsedoc (154), USA Jun 8, 2008 Brown beer with off-white head. Woody and caramel aromas are present. Tastes fairly simple, dry toffee flavor. Quick finish, nothing too impressive. bonbright7 (155), Huntington, New York, USA Jun 3, 2008 I liked this brown ale for it has an interesting dry aftertaste that makes one want a little more of the light coffee and nut flavors that come out. It was easy to drink and to put away. phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA May 30, 2008 Pours a clear brown colour with a soft white head. Pleasent nutty characteristic. Roasted malt flavors preceded by a soft caramel-honey aroma. overall pretty tastey.
