Roasted/burnt notes, coffee, bread, nuts in aroma. Very pleasant!
Clear, dark brown with one finger beige head.
Medium sweetness with a nice light backing bitterness. Almost a sticky feel to it, but medium bodied.
Overall really nice!

(Bottle). Dominant aroma of roasted malt and hops. The taste is heavily roasted, slightly burnt malt. Also hints of pepper and chocolate, maybe also some licorice. In the aftertaste hints of burnt malt.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours perfectly black into the glass, with a light ring of lace that dissipates into trace spot lacing. The nose is of roasts, chocolates and agave indeed. Flavors have predominantly roasts and chocolates, rye all the way through the earthy finish, which ends with a kiss of licorice. The mouthfeel is smooth and spicy on the palate. Nice newest incarnation of the ’Fade to Black’ series.

Bottle. Sweet earthy roasted malt aroma. Black brown with a moderate tan head. Sweet molasses and roasty/ashy malt and cola flavor - not really getting any rye. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nice, and easy to drink.

[Tap] Draught at a Left Hand tap takeover. Very dark brown pour with a small amount of light brown head. Nose is of spicy rye grain, charred malts and noticeable anise. Taste profile includes roasted malts, cocoa, mild coffee and rye spice. Dry and peppery finish. Nice balance and good looking lacing on the side of the glass. Good stuff.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Black with a foamy white head. Aroma is bitter toasted malt and oak. Flavor taste a bit like carbdoard. Yeah I’ve had it! Otherwise tastes like a milk stout. Has that lactose sweetness and thickness to the body.
