Ingredients: Water; Malted barley; Ginger root; Hops; Yeast.
Our beer is basically a pale ale brewed from a relative low gravity, with some of the hops which would normally be used in the beer replaced by freshly ground ginger root. The beer is light in body, lower in alcohol, has a distinct ginger aroma, and has a very crisp finish. It was initially brewed as a refreshing alternative to the plethora of wheat beers which are popular in the summertime. Popular demand turned it into a year round beer.

Shared 355 ml bottle at local tasting ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Weak aroma, only a hint of ginger. More distinct ginger in the flavour, but not overpowering. A slight fruity acidity in the otherwise uninteresting pale ale base. Thin mouthfeel.

Appearance: Clear orange under a bright white head which fades into a mostly full blanket of patchy foam which tries to climb up the sides of my glass. Swirls with lace.
Nose: Ginger snaps, ginger bread, and ginger cookies. Mulled apple cider. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice sprinkles. Cracked wheat and rye in the middle. Essence of Autumn.
Palate: Medium-light weight and finish with a silky mouthfeel. Rye spice and apple skins in the back. Ginger bread cookies and ginger bread in the middle – moist, soft, and chewy. Bitter apple skin and nutmeg finish. Mulled spiced cider in the breath. Tickle of ginger heat in the back of the throat.
Final Thoughts: If you like ginger, then this beer is for you. All the flavors were very well integrated and that essence of Autumn in the nose carried all the way through until the last drop. Good Juju is good for me.

Its not the best ginger beer, but it gets worse ratings than it deserves. Its light with a very subtle ginger. Some pepper and grass.
