2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 POLK (1895) - Hørning, DENMARK - JAN 5, 2012
Beautiful dark yellow colored wheat beer that unfortunately lacks the rich foam that use to be on this kind of beers. Fine beer, but does not really stand out from the ordinary German.

Cloudy straw yellow color with white head. Aroma of clove, banana, lemon, and grass. Banana, clove, yeast, and a hint of lemon comprise a rather solid flavor. Very nice beer for the style.

On tap at Freshcraft. Pours a cloudy deep golden color with a small white head that doesn’t last. Big banana bread aroma with cirus undertones and hints of clove. The flavor is sweet bready malts and lots of banana with some citrus and light spices. The mouthfeel is crisp and very light bodied. Nice blend of wheat, yeast and sweet kick.

Bottle at home
Orange hazy, some white head that sudden dissapear. No lacings whatsoever so the beer looks quite ugly, almost like orange juice. Aroma of baked bread, some thin banana, yeast esters and lemon. Taste has wheat malts, some acids and almost no sweetness. Good dry mouthfeel that also feels a bit watery. Bitter finish, too bitter to make a balanced german hefe i believe. Not a personal favorite of the style German Hefeweizen
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 adnielsen (6553) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 14, 2011
Tap @ Freshcraft. This is an old favorite of mine and I’m disappointed that it was removed from their year round lineup. Cloudy orange appearance with a fluffy white head. Big banana and clove, mildly spicy, yeasty, wheat aroma. Pretty sweet hefeweizen- lots of banana, clove, and sweet wheat maltiness with a touch of spiciness and a bit bready yeasty flavor. Sweet banana aftertaste. What a great session beer. This is the kind of beer that I like to take camping or out on a fishing boat and chug all day.
