BeerVirgin72 (621), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 16, 2008 Poured from bottle at Redlight in Florida. Aroma was of wet wheat. Flavor was kinda the same. Banana and wet grass. Had some funky aftertaste I did not care for.
RasterMaster (30), , Oklahoma, USA Nov 20, 2008 06-28-2008 Vintage (1.69 single) - Pale, blonde pour into a cloudy, quickly dissipating head. Armoa of musty straw and chalky yeast, banannas and spice (cloves & nutmeg are present). Palate of barley and old yeasty bread. Heavy on the carbonation and unfiltered malt chunks floating in the bottom of bottle. Certainly a bottom of the barrel batch. Glad I didn’t get more than one of these. blklab2007 (600), Connecticut, USA Oct 28, 2008 bottle poured a lightly hazed golden brass color with a one finger fluffy head that retained a nice layer through the beer. aroma has nice dark fruited yeast, wheat, light spice, banana, clover, and light candy sugar. mouth feel is light with average carbonation. flavor has a wheat base, nice yeast flavors (banana, dark fruit, and spice), grass, and dough. finish is thin with a short duration. Svesse (1877), Hässelby, Sweden Oct 27, 2008 (Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 26 Oct 2008) Cloudy golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of banana, peaches and wheat-flour dough. Fruity taste with banana, plums, peaches and a sweet wheat character with a spicy touch. Short, but fresh, sweet-and-sour finish. Nice hefeweizen with lots of German style characteristics, possibly a touch too sweet. In short: sweet and peachy wheat. bconley (82), Fern Park, Florida, USA Oct 18, 2008 Draught at Odin’s Den. Very pale yellow color. This was kinda boring. difficult to smell in a smokey bar, but didn’t really do it for me. Wasn’t bad. Fruity and subtle candy taste. TEJA (146), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 17, 2008 Draught at Oliver Twist.
Short foam. Litle clowdy, nice yellow color. Aroma of cloves and synthetic banana esthers as in candy. Typical german wheat beer taste but too sweet for my liking. Too big body for a wheat beer.
