Big zesty nose of lupalin hops and citrus. Pours a dark orange, almost brown, under a big tan head. Taste furthers the big smack of hop aroma, and Iím comparing this to the dried flower hops I just stuffed in a few jars for safe keeping yesterday. Very citrusy, what with the added orange peel. I think we can compare it to a Tyranena Scurvy. Very sticky malts, but not overly sweet. After a month in my fridge, itís still a powerfully hoppy but enjoyable IPA. Those buying it to support the charity may find themselves somewhat gobsmacked.

From a bomber. Pours an orangey-Amber and makes a thick beige head with rings of lacing down the glass. Smells of pine resin, citrus and fresh hops. Tastes of caramel and hops. Not enough substance for me and leaves a bit of bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

slightly cloudy amber color; light citrusy, hoppy aroma; light hop flavor with citrus notes; citrusy hops and notes of orange; light, bready malt base

Brilliant clear deep copper with a thin sticky white cap. The aroma has a nice bit of grassy pine and something akin to the hoppy version of cumin--maybe coriander? Crisp and dry flavor with a bit of earthy bitterness and some pine and dry earthy tones. Just not feeling it.

Poured from bottle into teku, clear blood orange in color with healthy head and lasting lacing. Aroma is infected, ingrown toenail. Had high hopes for this one but it's just mediocre. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear amber with a fluffy and rather persistent pale buff head. Hoppy aroma has definite orange and malty notes plus a woody undertone. Flavor is very hoppy and woody, with orange and malt in the background. Firm body and strong fizz make for a good mouthfeel, while finish is woody and hoppy and just a little bitter. Go to bat four our troops and their families!

Bottle. Orange amber pour with a medium head. Big citrus and floral hop aroma to this with soft malt, light tropical fruit notes and soft caramel. Taste is big orange, floral hops, light spicy hops, caramel and toasted malt. Body is medium with a moderate, bubbly carbonation. Slightly sticky as well. Ends with more orange, floral hops, hop resins, caramel and soft maltiness.

Bottle. It poured an amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of fruits, hops, grass, resin and some caramel. The taste was similar to the aroma with more hops, bitterness, fruits and grass. Good stuff.

22oz bottle, from Dutchís. Nice biscuity malt, kind of toasty. Good citrusy hop, mildly peppery. Bottle says "Ale brewed with dried sweet orange peel", but I donít really pick up on much of that addition -- maybe just a touch of it in the finish. The bottle says nothing of any kind of wood aging either. Maybe this beer is a bit different this year. It does have a satisfying amount of hop, though, especially for the low ABV. Itís just drinking like a very satisfying, balanced, yet well-hopped IPA, at the moment. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Nice full feel. Mild slickness. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good thicker reaches and rows of lace. Looks great. Moderate-plus bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. Very tasty, satisfying balanced IPA. Especially nice to swig down with my sandwich.
