3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with khaki head. Settles quickly with minimal lacing. Aroma is sweet and fruity, mildly roasted, dark malt, mild chocolate. Flavor is sweet malt, nutty, mild roast, date, plum, with a sweet finish. Surprised by the nuttiness, more roast as it warms, both aroma and flavor. Mild anise and seemingly a hint of peated malt. Soft carbonation, medium body, and smooth texture. Nutty, sweet, fruity imperial stout.

Nitro Bottle. Very dark pour with a tan head. The aroma is quite malty, a little fruity. The taste is very smooth, the cocoa is pretty strong and overall malty. The beer itself finishes quite strong, sweet and malty.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle with mR_fr0g at his place on 12 October. Poured a thick black colour with a medium, dense beige head. Strong aromas of coffee, molasses and dried fruit. Really full, velvety mouth feel. Great flavours of roasted malt, dark rum and black treacle. Leaves with delightfully balanced espresso, burnt toast bitterness and black syrupy sweetness. Fantastic beer!

Nitro Bottle. Pours very dark with a tan head. Smells nutty, chocolate, fruity. It’s very creamy, fruity backbone, sweet, slight roast to it, chocolate. Really good! Left Hand did a great thing making this a nitro!

3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours dark with light tan head which dissipates quickly. Decent lacing. Nose is chocolate then coffee with lots of malt in the background. Taste is dark chocolate up front with lots of roasted malt and finishes into bitter raisin. Thick like an imperial stout should be. Very tasty. I like this one, especially for the value.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle labeled Nitro. Pours beautiful, can’t complain about that. Very rich with hints of coffee and licorice on the nose. Big and boozy with lots of anise and dark fruitiness. Way too boozy. Maybe it just needs some time to settle.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dark brown with a nice soft looking head that cascades up from the bottom. I am drinking the nitro version. Aroma of molasses and cocoa. Not a super strong aroma. Flavors of chocolate, raisins and coffee. Creamy and smooth in the mouth, but also a bit thick. Flavor is definitely strong.
