Duke (117), New York, USA Sep 14, 2004 Clear bright amber. Tiny head with a trace of lace. Aroma has some malt and fruits. Too flat. Not very refreshing. Maybe got a bad bottle.
cgarvieuk (2315), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 21, 2008 Bottle at Chris o’s …amber ... bright american hop nose ... sweet fruity american hop Sparky27 (501), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear dark gold with a 3 finger creamy off-white and really nice lacing. Nose is malt and light citrus hops. Taste is sweet malt, ripe citrus and a touch of pine in the finish. Medium mouth feel - Not a bad pale at all. hamsterglory (8), Bryan, Texas, USA does not count Aug 20, 2008 hazy deep orange appearance, perforated by slender strings of carbonation bubbles, told my tastebuds to prepare for a big flavored, hopefully huge - perhaps even dry-hopped - ale. aroma revealed the false illusion of appearance - slight citrus notes overly rounded on the edges by a floraling of sweet malts calmed my excitements. a fresh wash of grapefruitty hops kowtows to a biscuity malt finish, never quite showcasing either hops or malts, leaving the tongue fantasizing about the initial glance of first pour..... and i’ve got four more in the fridge. mephisto (1098), Taiwan Aug 17, 2008 pale golden with white head, it has grapefruit aroma and flavor. finishes slightly bitter, a standard rendition of apa. Mes_and_Sim (4176), London, Greater London, England Aug 10, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s Pre GBBF Tasting Middle of the road stuff. Amber gold with a thin brown tinged head.
