ucusty (1016), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 28, 2008 Clear gold pour with plentiful citrus aroma. Citrus and grapefruit. Bitter finish Sigmund (1928), Hafrsfjord, Norway Aug 25, 2008 12 fl. oz. / 355 ml bottle, bought at the GBBF 2008 for takeaway. ABV is 5.2%. Amber colour, moderate head. Interesting aroma, notes of ripe berries, flowers, caramel and some wood. The flavour has first a noticeable malty finish, then slightly subdued fruity American hops take over (a little more hops would not hurt!), leading to a moderately bitter and piney finish and aftertaste. hop_lover (114), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Aug 22, 2008 Has the most unique aroma. Piny, woodsy, and a little floral characteristics in the hoppy nose, and a good (medium bodied) malt profile....caramel and maybe a little buiscut in the nose. An off white head that is real thin but lasting... leaves wonderful lacing. Pours a hazy golden color. The mouthfeel isn’t too thin, I think it’s just right...very smooth, very drinkable. The flavor is very well balanced between the malt and hops. Very nice regular pale ale if your’e into "not so hoppy beers", or if your’e in the mood for something "not so in your face", have a crack at this bottle of APA. Thanks Left Hand, the Lord bless the hop harvest. cgarvieuk (2350), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 21, 2008 Bottle at Chris o’s …amber ... bright american hop nose ... sweet fruity american hop Sparky27 (516), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear dark gold with a 3 finger creamy off-white and really nice lacing. Nose is malt and light citrus hops. Taste is sweet malt, ripe citrus and a touch of pine in the finish. Medium mouth feel - Not a bad pale at all.
