COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Jackman’s American Pale Ale is brewed true to the style - medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with plenty of hop flavor and hop aroma. It’s noticeable hop bitterness is contrasted by the spicy and floral characteristics of the highest quality hops grown in the U.S.

Pour is clear orangey amber with a dense tight bubbled off white head...tons of citrus hoppiness in the nose...not much maltiness at first, but definately still some subtle sweetness...hop citrus and bitter finish...

Orange in color. Srong malt aroma. Earthy hop overtones. Horrible notes.

On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. This is a light hazy dark copper-ish body with a big and almost everlasting fluffy off-white head. Some fruity tones in the aroma with peaches, strawberries, caramel and snow. Nice. Tastes like tutti-fruity lemonade - without the lemon. Really - almost scary light drinkable. This means that it’s perhaps a bit of lack in the mouthfeel, but that’s all caught back in drinkability. A nice APA. 19.02.2012

On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. A retired APA from Colorado finds its way to little Bergen to spend its last days? That’s almost cute. :-) Pours a slightly hazy deep golden body with a medium creamy white retention. Nose is pineapple, citrus and hints of pine. Taste is mild citric tones, light malts and hints of strawberry. Creamy mouthfeel. A filling and quite tasty APA. I like it.

this wasn’t awful, just bad for the price at 9.99 a six. it was really just a platform for the left hand flvor profile that had to be a result of the yeast strain. i can see why the retired it...

I’m wondering when this beer was retired, being as I had one last night. Average beer at best and little darker and at little more character than a traditional American Pale Ale.

Aroma - very fruity, floral, somewhat sweet; Appearance - deep golden, fluffy head, laces quite well; Taste - balanced though mild front, fruity back, long finish that’s pretty dry; Palate - extremely crisp, average body; Overall - now I understand why this brew is retired, such a letdown.

Into the glass pours an amber-colored beer with a fine, long-lasting head. It smells lots of aroma hops, coupled with a slight herbal note. Starts hoppy mild, very aromatic, fruity and subtly sweet. The middle part is hoppy, aromatic, again with an herbal note. Goes into a mild-hoppy finish, with some bitter herbs!

Bottle @ Gloria, Kuopio. Originally rated on 8.8.2009. Unbalanced pale ale with a sticky and stingy taste.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a caramel-copper color with a short white head and not too much lacing. The nose brings some citrus and floral hops, more toward the citrus end. Some light caramel and malt. The flavor is a bit toward the malty end of the APA spectrum, though the citrus hops do put a nice touch on the brew. A bit of mild bitterness and a good body. Drinks pretty well overall. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-14-2010
