Beershine (1059), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 11, 2008 Bottle. Hazy orange with a small white head. Pleasant but simple ginger ale aroma. Also ginger bread, and a touch of lime and honey thrown in for good measure. High carbonation. Prickly mouthfeel. Some hops in the finish. Ginger spice in body and especially felt in the back of the throat. Sime peppery notes too.
NobleSquirrel (646), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 19, 2008 Bottle at Kuma’s. Thought I’d give this one a go. I knew there would be ginger character, but holy cow! Pour is deep coppery color, nose is very bready and very ginger. little to no hop character. I’d say the taste is similar, at first a bit shocking, but then the ginger mellows out. Very bready with a spiciness from the ginger. Interesting... TaxiDriver (428), Stadland, Germany Jul 14, 2008 Bottle. Sweet aroma, a lot of ginger. Average sized white foamy-creamy head, clear orange body. Moderate bitter, a feeling as if something would cover my tongue and mouth, strange; medium duration. Light to medium body, dry texture, flat carbonation. Not my taste. johninmelb (632), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Jul 6, 2008 A reasonable botanical, but the main issue with this beer is that although the ginger presence is good it is sitting in a beer that isn’t. Not the disaster that a number of additive beers prove to be, but this one would be greatly improved if the beer itself was better. thornecb (976), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Jun 29, 2008 Pours gold into a tumbler. Head quickly recedes to nothing. Slight ginger aromas. Extreme malt upfront with mild ginger flavors. Flat. awautlet (37), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jun 29, 2008 Rich golden color with a creamy eggshell head that lingers. Gorgeous ginger on the nose. The ginger follows through on the palate and is all that really comes through. If you love ginger you should try this.
