COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Sometime around midnight in a city nobody can agree on, the idea for Left Hand and Terrapin to brew a collaboration beer was born. Oxymoron is the third in the series of one-time releases between out two breweries. A combination of contradictions embodied in liquid form. Oxymoron is an American-style IPA brewed with three German malts, six German hops varieties, and a lager yeast strain. Obnoxious yet reserved elevated yet modest, it’s the embodiment of blending two brewing philosophies together in order to achieve singularity. Consider it an expression of cruel kindness".

Bottle at coffee district. I can’t say that was really impressed with this beer but it did hold a few good qualities. The carbonation was right in the pocket, a lot of the flavors, though being somewhat bland in my opinion, were dancing frantically on my tounge from the first sip to the last. The flavors were a mix of wheat and bitter hops. An enjoyable beer but nothing to write home about.

22 oz bottle. Poured nice with soapy head. Reddish blond hue. Aroma, herbal hops. Looked and smelled better than it tasted. A lot of grapefruit with a lingering finish. Kind of one dimensional.

I enjoyed this, but I really couldn’t do it justice trying to describe it in my notes. It has a lot of what I consider ale-like qualities at first, but it finishes kinda lagery. In between, there is a nice mix of caramel and resiny hops. It seems to morph from an IPA to some sort of hoppy marzen as you drink it.

Bomber from Ace in Boulder, CO. Pours clear amber/copper with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is roast caramel. Hop? Med body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is pale malt and a heck of a lot of hop. Grassy/herby hop. Noble hop. Not pure Saaz. But very nice. It starts to finish sweet and then the hop goes bump. Incredibly delicious.

2010 pre-Brewer’s Jam tasting. Pours light golden yellow with whitish head. The aroma is leafy with some estery spice notes. Flavor is kind of papery with some disembodied bitterness. Odd high alcohol note toward the finish. Meh.

This is an interesting drink. It tastes pretty controlled and organized considering they have created a frankenstein here. The beer is a golden amber with a thin creamy head. Lots of small bubbles in the carbonation. The aroma is what i would expect from a lager. They did a really good job of not making this beer too bitter or malty. It is pretty balanced and very tasty.

clear gold pour with a fluffy white head and spotty lace. Hops and grainy aroma. Flavor is bitter with a nice malty backbone to balance it out. Kinda grassy

On draft at Capones. Pours a clear coppery color with a medium sized frosty off white head. Aroma of light citrus, lemon tea, honey and hops. Taste is much the same as the aroma.
