COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Midnight Project One - Sometime at midnight in a city nobody can agree on, the idea for Left hand and Terrapin to brew a collaboration beer together was born. Terra-rye’zd is the first of a series of one-time releases between the two breweries. It is a beguiling black rye lager that will hold you hostage with its complex flavor, and make you want to ransom off your neighbors’ children for another bottle. The spice derived from the judicious amount of rye malt will bombard your pallet

Bottle Shared at Ryan & Max’s Tasting @ Pauls. Pours a brune body with a tan head. Malty body with hints of caramel chocolate and a spicy rye accent still coming across as a bit light and grainy however. Some light smoke notes and roasted malt. Decent enough.

Bottle at Paul’s tasting. Pours a clear cola brown with a thin white head. Light smoke, spicy rye, little bit of roast, a bit of grain. Smooth, with a bit of roast malt, a touch of rye. Finishes with a long slow bitterness and a bit more of that grain and rye flavor.

This drink is THICK! Syrupy appearance, much like coke mixed with maple syrup. Bubbly, well, more gurgly, like the slime from Ghostbusters. Sweet, roasted and grainy aroma. Flavor is darkly malted, sweet and almost alcoholic... no doubt the rye has something to do with it, especially noticeable in the finish. Quite a different beer, points to Left Hand for originality.

Bottle. Pours a dark chocolate brown with a small tan head that lingers. Aroma is very roasty some chocolate and very little to no rye. Some decent toffee like sweetness also no hops. Flavor is very smooth with a silky chocolate and a good roast chatacter that plays well with the drying rye. Overall a very drinkable beer

Bottle. Fruity aroma. Clear dark brown colour, red shine. Small creamy tan head. Good roasted flavour, mild and creamy. It turns more hard roasted in the finish. Very creamy mouthfeel, must have lots of oats, or perhaps rye judgning from the name.
