COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.

Not bad at all actually. Black, a bit thin but sweet and full of taste. There is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and somewhat to my supprise (all though this might just have been my imagination), milk.

Black color, brown head. Malty and sweet with roasted notes scent. Malty roasted taste with a metallic aftertaste, when looking I think you can sense a sweetness from milk/lactose. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Almost completely black color with a little ruby. Full brown head... looks like the head on a Coke, but fuller. Sweet roasted aroma. Tastes like roasted coffee with milk... delicious. A little chocolate in there too. Definitely a good, sweet, and sugary beer. More than enjoyable. 12 oz. bottle.

355ml bottle from Utobeer. Very deep ruby, dark brown with thin beige hed. Intense dark malt aroma, some intense charcoal/ashtray. Some sweet lactic flaavours from the milk sugar. Bit sweet and a bit one dimensional. Fine.

12 oz. bottle. Enjoyed at cellar temperature. Pours a deep, dark brown / black. Aroma hits you with coffee, malt and chocolate. Flavor delivers the same, with a little more emphasis on the coffee part, nice roasted flavor.

This is part of a beer club. Had only one bottle but was decent for the price. Poured great and had a nice finish. Would do again.
