Bottled. Pours clear dark brown with a small tan head that settles into a film. Aroma is all sweet, milk chocolate. Awesome flavour with sweetened coffee and chocolate. Very nice stout.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12/28/2007: Left Hand Milk Stout has a clear, dark brown color with a foamy brown head. This beer smells like black coffee with a heavy dose of creamer in it. There is also a note of smei-sweet or dark chocolate in the back. The flavor is pretty sweet and has lots of milk and semi-sweet chocolate characteristics, roasted malts, lactose, and creamed coffee. It finishes great with lots of smooth, rich chocolate with a hint of espresso at the very end. The body of this beer is medium and it too is quite smooth on the palate and goes down nice and quick. There is some stickiness on the lips. Another solid beer from Left Hand and a pretty flavorful and good Milk Stout overall. This beer probably has a wider appeal than the <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/left-hand-black- Hand Black Jack Porter due to its sweetness and distinct chocolate flavors.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a chocolate brown color with a small tan head that quickly turns to nothing. Nose is roasted malt, coffee, milk?, and chocolate. Taste is much the same and feels smooth and a bit watery. Not the best beer, but decent because this is one of the few sweet stout that does not over do the sweetness. Mouth feel is medium, semi acidic and finish is short.

Bottle from utobeer via cgarvieuk. Aroma is sweet choclate malt. Taste is similarly sweet choclate malt, hints of floural hop, but very choclaty and good carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thick dark beige head, leaving lace over black beer with ruby highlights. Sweet liquorice nose, jap , bakery smell and dark malts. Lightly smokey flavour, cigarette ash, underlying sweet & dark malts + lactose sweetness. Sticky sweet aftertaste, light bodied. Not a bad milk stout - for the amateurs. Is this really brewed in Colorado??? It even has Dutch on the EU label.

Draught @ Taco Mac. Good milk stout but I like Mackeson xxx better. Nice flavors of sweet and bitter but not the best I have had.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a medium/small head. Aromas are sweet and have notes of roasted malt, cream, vanilla, etc. Flavor is heavily sweet and pleasant, but lacks any interesting plot development. A bit of a brown sugar and sweet chocolate is pleasant.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very smooth with almost imperceptible hops flavoring. As a black coffee lover this is a great beer. Creamy with very little carbonation makes drinking them too easy – the 5.3% catches up quickly. A step-down from Mackeson in intensity but an awesome beer.
