3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Strong aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Too thin to start, but seemed to pick up some umph as it warmed. Flavor followed aroma: roasted malts, coffee and an undertoe of sweetness, hinting at roasted coffee and cream with a teaspoon of sugar.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Heavy aroma of roasted coffee beans and bittersweet chocolate. The body is fresh coffee with a fair amount of lactose sweetening things. Dry finish that makes my tongue almost sandpapery. Good, not great.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Malty-sweet aroma almost more befitting of a porter than a stout; aroma punctuated by tones of sour milk. Slight sour note unfortunately carried into the flavor and knocked its desireability down a couple notches. Almost too sweet even for a milk stout and not enough roasty flavors. Sufficiently dark in the glass but with little head or carbonation. A pleasant enough concoction but not a great example of the style.

Wow, what a great beer. I really enjoyed the roast flavors while maintaining that creamy feeling. Aromas are fully espresso and dark chocolate. Very roasty flavor and aftertaste. None of the extra fruity/savory feelings of an Imperial Stout, but that’s a good thing.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle Pours a clear medium dark brown with a modest light brown head that quickly dissipated laving chunky, spotty lacing. A mild roasted, porter like flavor. Smokey and roasted. Feel I thought was pretty thin but nice enough.

Waht a beauty ... big cascade of bubbles built a big poofy head. Big milk-coffee aroma, too. Very sugary impression to start, with a java background and a milky tinge, too. Good stuff.

This beer is ok. Good aroma but very strong aftertaste. I drank it but I doubt I will drink too many more

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Courtesy of Indiana_Red via trade. Aroma is evenly balanced between chocolate and roasted grain. Pours a dark brown with a tan head that lasts a minute or so. Red hilights when held to the light. Very malty with lots of chocolate throughout but stronger up front. Definitely sweet and creamy. Roasted grain and coffee in the finish. Coffee lingers shortly into the aftertaste and then fades only leaving the chocolate. A hint of fruitiness hides in teh background. Very creamy mouthfeel. A very good stout.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice roasty coffee aroma. A little fruity too. Light tan head that dies rather quickly. This is actually better than I expected. If you like Big roasty flavors and not much else then is your beer. A tad one dimensional but nevertheless, it tastes good to me. Palate could stand to be creamier though. Maybe half & half or heavy cream would work better? Hahaha! Don’t know if this enters into the regular rotation though. I generally like my stouts thicker & BIGGER. I might drink a single every now and then. My overall rating will be skewed higher due to the aroma rating.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle received in a trade with Indiana_Red - Thanks Ken! - Pours very deep brown with a short tan head that settles into a film and laces decently. Aroma is roasted toasted almost burnt malt. A touch of coffee and just a bit of vanilla. Flavor is coffee, milk chocolate, and again just a bit of vanilla finds its way through. On the palate this is medium bodied, quite creamy. A touch of carbonation but not overdone. A fair session stout. Quite drinkable.
