3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep translucent brown with a big frothy head. Strong roasting is present in the aroma. This is definatly sweet, with a creamy smooth body, and clean finish. This is a very good beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours nearly opaque brown/black. Nice nose of chocolate and dark coffee. The beer is sweetish but not over the top and certainly has enough austerity in the malt to balance out the milk sugars. That being said, this stout is unquestionably true to its name with overwhelming notes of chocolate icecream and sunday syrup. The finish is a bit sticky but ultimately the slightly coarse carbonation shortens its stay.

a sim rate: (on tap at Flying Saucer in Houston, TX) "It’s a fucking chocolate drink" - Paul Kukuk
It’s like hot chocolate, but it’s cold. Coffee. Chocolate. Milky. It’s a milky latte.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle, via nolankowal. Pours a deep mahogany, almost black with a small brown head that faded to a thin film. Decent roasted and burnt malt nose with milk chocolate and lesser hints of oat and lactose. Flavor is more chocolate malt up front fading to a finish laced with black patant malt, lactose sweetness, and a lingering chalk flavor. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. The texture is a little watery. An OK beer, but not worth alot of effort to seek out.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark brown in colour with medium carbonation. Nice aromas of roasted malt, nuts, and a bit of chocolate. The roasted malt flavors are balanced out by some thick lactic character. Minor notes of coffee and caramel are also present. Not mind blowing beer, and although it doesn’t realy take any chances it is very well balanced and fits perfectly within the traditional confines of the style.

Guest tap @ the Smokehouse. Robust floral nose of coffee, slight spice & alcohol, and
some left over caramel. The brew is black (a stout black, imagine that). The creamy beige
head is mostly diminishing with light lace. The brew is very non-offensive, with a sharp
and short finish. Translation: kinda small. Would be a great first stout to try for the
newbie. The body is full and lively almost to the point of being fizzy. I like em softer,
with more character.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
An enjoyable stout to say the least, especially for the nice price. The aroma had a roasty, cocoa, coffee aroma to it. Apperance was black, nothing special or unusual there. Flavor was a bit oxidizes, lactic, but still roasted and creamy enough to be enjoyed. A nice beer for sure.
