COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.

This brew has toasty roasty coffee notes in the aroma. Also, these aforementioned attributes are coupled with slight hints of chocolate. Reddish-black color is apparent in the dark but clear liquid. The head is a off-white color that settles quickly, leaving behind plenty of lace after the first drink, and so-on. Exquisite, well-balanced heavy-sweet flavor that is hard to compete with!!! Alcohol is evident in the nose. Full-bodied brew with a creamy texture. Combine these attributes with the soft carbonation and long, pleasant finish, and you have yourself a milk stout to brag about!!! Definitely recommended!!

Nice taste! But if bitter at the end there. Beautiful dark coloring and just enough sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An extremely solid creamy smooth stout that's several cuts above Guinness, Murphy's, Young's..., and at $10 and change for six bottles, a tremendous bargain... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz nitro bottle poured into an imperial pint at approximately 50 degrees. Pours dark brown to black with little to no light showing through. Has a smallish pillowy tan head that holds steady. Smells of caramel, roasted malt, and chocolate. Standard stout smell. Tastes of roasted malt, dark chocolate and light generic hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is extremely creamy with moderate carbonation for style. OK beer, easily sessionable but nothing amazing.

Was given this as a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Such a light stout - delicate and balanced. Good beer.

4 oz nitro pour at GBD. Black with frothy beige head. Aromas of milk chocolate, creamy notes, caramel. Tastes of chocolate, vanilla, creamy notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Much butter on proper nitro compared to the bottled Nitro version, at least from what I remember of having it from the bottle awhile ago.

Nitro on tap. When I first had this it was impressive. Now it falls back into the pack because of the unique beers being produced everywhere. Nice soft roasted malt aroma. Good creamy dark color with cascading bubbles. Smooth and weighty palate but not too heavy. Roasted malt with minor hints of chocolate and coffee. Good standard.
