3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 VRBJG (159) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 26, 2012Pours coffee black with a thick tan foamy head that holds retention for a looong time. Smells chocolatey...some roasted maltiness. Tastes light roastiness....some sweetness. Smooth on the palate. The brew is more thin than it would appear at sight and smell.

Tap at three dogs tavern, Denver. Strong chocolate malt aroma very sweet, very inviting. Pours black with two fingers of light brown head that clings to the glass, nitroed. Very, very sweet with chocolate and a touch of coffee. Full-bodied beer with an extremely smooth finish. Excellent.

Very dark almost black. Milky coffee chocolate smooth. No bitterness and very drinkable. One of the better sweet stouts I've had.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 dutchtuga (83) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 14, 2013
This is a stout that leaves you craving for more. It begins with the fantastic pour that gives the beer a beautiful way to develop a creamy head. The taste is very drinkable, yet somewhat complex. It’s very creamy with the taste of coffee, caramel and chocolate. Doesn’t stand out in any of them but the beer in his whole does that job. Fantastic.

The creamy tan didn’t form for a fee seconds but then had good held tight. Smooth almost slick mouthfeel and not an overpowering burnt/smoky flavor like some stouts. Tasty

Gotta love this sweet stout. It pours a very thick construction in which you can clearly see layers moving in the glass. It’s creamy aroma of chocolate, milk and coffee is wonderful, a real treat!

This review might have been much better if the beer was carbonated more. Toasty malt is well rounded by the milk sugar. No hops noticed as expected. Standard lower aroma of a stout. Easily quaffable. Needed to be carbonated more.

Dark opaque pour moderate tan head. Aroma of toasted/burnt hay lactic tang, and cereals. Light carb very nice silky mouthfeel. Flavor is mostly char and milky tang. Finish is dry enough for a sweet beer. Recommended for the coffee and burnt marshmallow fans out there.
