COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.

Nitro version of the milk stout. So it stills is a dark, sweet, and roasty beer. Medium body and very tasty. The nitro version is a little creamier.

Good year round dark stout. Sweet aroma. Taste of roasted malt, toffee, all rounded out with the sweetness from the milk sugar.

Nitro version. Aromas of dark malts, toffee, coffee and caramel. Pours black with a nice tan head. Taste is light bodied with flavors of dark malts, dark grains, toffee, coffee, caramel, earthy roast and chocolate. Finishes dry with residual chocolate syrup. Overall, not a bad beer at all. Well done.

12 oz bottle. Very dark brown in color...head nearly nonexistent. Body is very thin and light. Low carbonation. Not as sweet as I was expecting. Notes of coffee and dark chocolate, but aromas are faint. Short finish.

Nitro bottle. 180 degree pour. Really comes alive. Still has good aroma, but way smoother mouth feel. Flavor is the same, lactose, malt, and little mocha. Give the Co2 version a 3.8, nitro version a 4.0

So-so. A little thin and not massively into the sweetness although its not too pronounced. Nice mellow choc aromas and easy-drinking palate. Its the thinness really..

Super dark brown stout with nothing more than some fizz on an aggressive pour. Delicious & familiar cocoa puff aroma that’s typical with a lot of these sweet / milk stouts. Unreal & substantial flavors of chocolate up front that fades into a smoky tobacco within a very thin body. Super drinkable texture like nothing I can remember having & very interesting.
