COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.

Now that there are nitro bottles of this it is the best beer from the liquor store fridge. Pour hard for a good head. Tastes like a chocolate milkshake

Pretty good. Very smooth and milky. Not fussy about being poured a bit too cold. It's a baby stout with a sweet milk finish. Would buy again.

12 fl. oz bottle at the starbucks at Dulles Airport for a lot of money. Nearly black in the glass. Sweet malty at the nose. Starts creamy with toasted malt. Low bitterness. Sorry, I expected more.

Pours a dark black with a foamy, long-lasting tan head. Has a malty aroma. Flavor is sweet malts. Has a light body feel, very creamy. Excellent brew.

A great nitrogen beer. Pours a beautiful amber black with a super thick tan head. Smells of coffee and vanilla, bit of French vanilla. Taste is similar, extremely creamy, and very smooth. Had on tap at Spritzenhaus in NYC.

12 oz bottle that from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. Bottle reads ’Nitro’ and does not have the cow pic. Plenty of lactose and a nice creamy nose and mouth feel. I liked it a lot.

Great bread like aroma! Creamy on the tongue, a bit coffee and roasty, dark chocolate sweet finish. Head is creamy white, thin when poured, but lasts the whole glass, very lacey. Nice to have a stout that’s American brewed and worthy of it. Glad I bought the whole six pack.

Bottle. Jet black pour. Thin head. Get skim milk and like a yeasty, kind of bread smell on the nose which is quite interesting. Taste is big dark chocolate and licorice, light rostiness on the finish and perhaps a touch of coffee. Solid brew.

Interesting offering, poured from a bottle at The Cheese Shop with brie and sharp cheddar. Nice coffee flavor, great color, small head, I’d drink this again.

Villámgyorsan eltűnő habja alól édesen pörkölt, sűrített tejes aroma száll fel, mely egy kissé savanykás és karamelles, telt, malátás ízben folytatódik, a prímet azonban a stoutokra egyébként is jellemző, frissen fejt, mosdatlan tehéntejes aroma viszi, mely ebben az esetben szinte magától értetődőnek tűnik.

Bottle (label says Nitro though). Pours a stouty brown-black, opaque with a thin off-white head that hangs around for a while like you’d expect from a Guinness pub-draught can. Nose is roasty, Cocoa Puffs, coffee and faint smokiness. Mouth is a bit thin for the style, medium bittersweet, decent mix of milk-chocolate, roasted barley, coffee beans. It’s decent -- I’m not jumping on the bandwagon though. Spiteful Brewing here in Chicago does a much better interpretation of the style called ’Mrs. O’Leary’s Cow’.
