This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.

12 oz Nitro, black opaque hue with thick creamy tan lasting head with good lacing, coffee, chocolate, milk and vanilla smell, creamy consistency, pretty creamy rich taste, a touch sour, smells more coffee than taste, good once in a while but not my thing to go out of the way for, overall a sour milk aftertaste with a better smell.

Bottle to shaker glass, pours black. Thin khaki head, light lacing, no retention. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Taste is sweet. Medium body, light carbonation, creamy mouth feel. Finishes sweet, just slightly bitter. Tasting notes of chocolate, coffee, burnt sugar, grass and toffee. Nice light, easy drinking stout.

Silkemyk! Medium/tynn konsistens.

Originally sampled on 11/12/14. Black body with a thick and creamy head, similar to a Guinness. The head leaves some thick lace, the mouthfeel is a bit on the thin side.Aromas of chocolate, oats, some faint toffee as well. Flavor strats with roasted malts, coffee, and nuts mostly with some bitterness and chocolate. Overall a pretty nice stout thats worth a try.
