COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.
2000 to 2009 vintages - 6% abv
2010 vintage - 6.6% abv

It least it tastes like an Oktoberfest.Nice malts but it lacks the complexity and finish that the Germans have!

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2006 Dark orange. Fading off-white foam. Munich offers the slightest amount of chewiness, and unripe plum acidity overwhelms any remaining subtelties. Too sweet and heavily metallic with only a trace of balancing noble hops. A very poor, dirty example.

Of the Oktoberfest beers I’ve had in the past month, this one impressed me the least thus far. I didn’t like the aroma or the backend aftertaste. But, this beer was definitely drinkable, and a nice addition to my yearly Oktoberfest samplings.

This beer lacks the quality of some of the traditional oktoberfests but it’s a good start
