Commercial Description:
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

(10/25/06) Crystal clear copper body with small but creamy beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, cookie, some floral, light earthy. Taste is medium sweet, earthy, some caramel, medicinal. Light-medium body, some acidity. Better than the first time I tried it, but that’s not saying much. (6/3/4/3/9)

(11/16/02) Cloudy rusty copper body with a small tan head. Aroma is moderately caramel, as well as some toastiness. Taste begins sweet, but finishes intensely lemon sour. Not pleasant, though I wonder if it was mishandled, ’cause my description bears little resemblance to anyone else’s. (5/2/3/1/6)

12oz bottle acquired in trade with robertsreality (thanks!). Poured a deepr and cloudy amber / orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, caramel, and lightly spicy. Tastes of toasted malts and light caramel. Finishes thin.

Bottle... Clear copper lager with a small, tight, off-white head that’s gone in a flash. Toasted nuts and caramel nose. Caramel-sweet flavor with decent hop crispness and bitterness to keep things nearly balanced. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet; bordering on crisp.

Nice golden amber pour with a sustained three-fingered head. It has an aroma of sweet toasty malts with a subtle trace of earthy bitterness. The flavor is much the same althouth the earthy/floral hops increase somewhat as the drink progresses. Decent enough.
