S - Sweet rich malt, caramel, vanilla, dried apricots,
T - Follows the nose. Sweet malt up front followed by simple brown sugar syrup and toffee. Some mild bitterness in the middle and finishes semi sweet.

Good malt forward Marzen. It’s rich and the complex malt profile will have you guessing.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a nearly clear deep copper with a one finger white head. Head retention and lacing are pretty poor but it is not awful.
Aroma is heavy on caramel, toffee, and candy. Some fruity yeast esters sneak through and some dark bready malt. Nice.
Lots of toffee and caramel in the taste. More hard candy and yeasty fruit. Grassy/floral hops burst through leading to a moderate bitterness to balance out the sweetness. Mouthfeel is moderately dry with a slightly sticky finish.
Overall, a really nice Oktoberfest. It is definitely "American" in terms of strength and hoppyness but it pulls it off well. A good beer.
