COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

MARZEN! Love this one from Left Hand. Aroma is distinctly bready with some toasty citrus noticeable. Pours a clear dark golden with a soft creme-colored head. Taste is sweet up front with a nice clean finish. Some metallic notes. Beer has a med-light body with lots of carbonation and a mild bitter finish.

Draught at Burgermania. Sweet malt, caramel, cake, raisin, green hops, fairly smooth finish. Hoppier than usual for the style, quite tasty and enjoyable.

Source: 12 oz. bottle, cooled. Receptacle: 16 oz. dimpled mug, clean. Nice, straight-forward colors of light browns and thin reds and a shallow head of even thinner foam. Not privy if the purity order’s part of this recipe, or if it even matters, but, it do taste good enough that it does, to me, anyway.

12 oz. bottle served in a mug- Poured a transparent lightly darkened brown, light carbonation that made the liquid sit very still in the vessel. Aroma of toffee, caramel, and barley. Hits the mouth with a light body, malt has plenty of heft inspite of the initial feel upon the tongue, middle has only a slight amount of sweetness, finish has a small amount of earth and biscuit. Left Hand products used to be around here in TX quite a bit, had to pick this up in MI. I always liked them... what happened?

A light grassy aroma. The flavor on this is pretty nice. The malt isn’t too cloying sweet as many in this style. Good stuff.

Smells liked baked bread. A slightly sweet malty flavor. It’s a good try by Left Hand.

I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a very clear copper color with a very small off white head that dissipated very quickly. The aroma is brown bread and caramel. The taste is very similar to the aroma. Seems like the aroma and flavor have weakened since it's an older bottle.

Poured from 12oz bottle into pint glass. Appearance: pours a 3" soapy off white head that leaves a ton of lacing. Color is rich copper with moderate streaming carbonation. Aroma: toasted barley malt, earthy and citrus rind hops, toffee, raisin. Mouthfeel: light to medium with a dry finish. Flavor: bready malts dominate, with caramel sweetness and some moderate earthy and citrus hop balance. Overall: quite enjoyable. I would buy this again.

12 oz bottle, poured into a shaker pint at ~40 degrees F. Appearance: Pours a perfectly clear coppery red-amber, and forms a pale tan head with a shorter lifespan than a Taylor Swift relationship. Okay lacing. Smell: Malt. Yeah, that pretty much covers it. There’s toast, bread, and caramel, all sweet, with some vague nuttiness and shades of biscuit. Taste: Malt. Yeah, that pretty much covers it here, too. Toast and bread get the marty (that’s malt-party) started, with a heavy dose of caramel sweetness coming in like a crowd of already-drunk crashers bursting in and instantly raising the volume level to 11. Some faint hints of walnut and Brazil nut drift in behind that, like a handful of introverts clinging to the walls, keeping their heads down and not talking, even to each other. Towards the end of the marty, earth and dirt come trundling on in to put the kibosh on all that sweet, bready noise, not unlike a pack of cops in riot gear with tasers in hand. Mouthfeel: Yep, that’s a marzen. Overall: I enjoyed this one - not too much hop presence, plenty of malt. Would repeat.

Bottle at home. It’s bready, caramel-y, malty. It’s an average, drinkable marzen.
