MARZEN! Love this one from Left Hand. Aroma is distinctly bready with some toasty citrus noticeable. Pours a clear dark golden with a soft creme-colored head. Taste is sweet up front with a nice clean finish. Some metallic notes. Beer has a med-light body with lots of carbonation and a mild bitter finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark coppery-amber with a thick off white head. Aroma is bright yeasty "Oktoberfest". Taste is initially sweet and syrupy then the ’french toast’ flavors kick in followed by some gritty malts. This is definitely a sweet one and an ’in your face’ kind of Märzen, but I like it.

12oz bottle into tulip glass. Minneapolis.
Appearance: Copper in color. Transparent. Small white head quickly reduces to nothing.
Aroma: sweet malts
Taste: Mild sweetness turns into mild bitterness. Not overwhelmingly strong in any attribute.
Palate: Light body with a thin texture. flat carbonation. Short finish.
Overall: An average marzen. Not very memorable. Not exceptional in any category. Fairly weak flavor, even for the style. Still, very drinkable.
