Fresh, spicy, grassy hop nose has some suggestions of white pepper and grainy, cereal-like malts. Clear, pale yellow-gold with low white head that recedes to partial cover. Green, vegetal, grassy and lightly spicy hops with a light lemon-citrus tone and some cereal, grainy malt. Light, refreshing body with moderate carbonation. Sampled at Mondial de la Bière 2005.

Couleur blonde pale, faible mousse blanche rapidement diminuante.

Sample, from 12 oz bottle at the Mondial. Clear, light straw-gold with a bit of head retention...somewhat spicy nose of cut grass and lime...very soft, fairly malty body with herbal undertones and grassy dry hops towards the finish...fairly watery and indistinct, but the bitterness lingers...

Gold pour, with medium white head. Hopcit aroma. Tastes pale malty, with some hop presence and a crisp finish. Maybe I’m burned out a bit, but pilseners bore me these days, even in 90 degree weather.

The Lure: Subtle hay and mild grain evoke the German origin of the malts. Estival simplicity, on the verge of being boring.
The Festivities: Dry and bitter towards the end, the grassy hops and haystack merge coherently, but without much force. Quenching, well-brewed and straightforward, no pretention of greatness here.
Transcendence: Grass blade in mouth, the cowboy tips his hat down for a nap.

Aroma was of dough. Gold body with white head and some carbination bubbles active. The hop flavor made this one cool and crisp on the palate a decent beer.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2006 Bright gold color with copious carbonation. There is also a large white head. The aroma is carrot cake with some glazed donuts. The taste is cantalope with some carrots and slightly nutmeg spice in the finish. This is a decent version of the style. I had this again and had the same verbal description, but better numbers.

Not a terribly impressive brew. Golden Yellow color, smells slight off/ a little skunky.,, Taste is somewhat malty be fairly light and watery. Mouthfeel is thin and watery. It seems skunkier than it should considering it has been in a fairly stable environment for 1.5 month. I can name a number of more recomendable midwestern pilsners (schell, edel-pils, Capital special Pilsner) and I would even take the over-hopped Sunshine pils. below par

Very light golden color topped with a fioamy white head. Malts overpower any real hop aromss here, unfortunalty. Bready malt flavors, with the slightest hint of hearbal hop preence. Decent, but i prefer a hoppier pilsner myself.
