CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Jan 29, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Tastes like a crappy homebrew. On tap as well. Not a fan at all. nathan30533 (138), Dahlonega, Georgia, USA Jan 29, 2009 Pours a wonderful amber color with a white head. Smell is not much at all but what you do smell is that of malts. Taste of hops and a very dry hop taste. Bitter, yes. Good brew, not great! jeremytoni (1067), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Jan 28, 2009 From the tap poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice hoppy flavor with a lasting finish. BVery (444), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA Jan 26, 2009 TAP: at Bulldog Lowertown (St. Paul. MN) on 1.25.09. Clear amber pour, low head, low aroma of caramel and malt. Taste is nutty, caramel, and hop with slight malt character, and is somewhat sweet. Not overhopped. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Jan 18, 2009 pours copper with off-white head.
Aroma of light hops and malts with notes of grapefruit.
Taste is again of floral hops with light bitter finish.
Notes of caramel malts, and fruits flavors. ROGUE (621), Newark, Delaware, USA Jan 16, 2009 12oz bottle. Poured a copper color with a one finger head that has decent retention but not a lot of lacing. Smells malty with a bit of caramel and sweet fruits. Taste is malty up front with a strong caramel flavor with some fruit that turns into a nice bitter finish that balances out the initial sweetness very nicely. Overall a pretty enjoyable ESB.
VitaminR (421), Colorado, USA Jan 14, 2009 Orangey hoppy nose. Slightly hazy orange color, medium head. light caramel, decent bitterness. Big carbonation, thinner body, abrupt finish. Easy session beer, not that remarkable though. checkmatei1 (629), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 5, 2009 Draft at Isaac’s: Poured an amber color with not much head. The aroma was sweet hops. The flavor was sweet and slighly bitter. Not as bitter as some I’ve had. Overall, when comparing ESB’s, this one falls to the middle of the pack.
